Event Description
This workshop features experts from CHI’s Data Science team and introduces participants to the principles and practice of network meta-analysis (NMA) using R. NMA is a statistical technique that compares and ranks multiple interventions, including those not directly compared in a standard meta-analysis.

Learning Objectives
In this two-day, hands-on workshop, participants will:
- • Understand what network meta-analysis (NMA) is and the fundamental considerations when conducting a systematic review that incorporates NMA
- • Explore available statistical methods for NMA and approaches for presenting and interpreting results
- • Gain hands-on experience using real-world data in R
Prerequisites
- • Basic knowledge of systematic review, meta-analysis, and basic regression methods
- • Basic knowledge of R
Workshop Format
The workshop will combine didactic lectures, individual and group exercises, and interactive discussions. Groups will be kept small to maximize opportunities for individual instruction and hands-on learning. Please note: This workshop will be hosted in the Chown Building A207 on Oct. 6, and A474 on Oct. 7
