This program identifies and mentors future leaders in Manitoba's health system. The focus is on developing skills to assist individuals to prepare for leadership roles while understanding the dynamics of the healthcare system and academic environment.
Program participants are critical, creative and lateral thinking individuals who are able to lead academic health sciences units, while fostering organizational growth, learning and innovation. The program is targeted towards mid-career health care professionals in the Health Sciences faculties, Regional Health Authorities, and Government interested in progressing to senior level leadership.
This program will be delivered using a small group discussion format featuring selected experts and University, Health Authority and Government senior leaders. An on-line community will supplement these sessions, supporting participants throughout the program and a capstone project will be required in the area of leadership relevant to the participant’s workplace or sphere of influence. The cost for the program is $500 + applicable taxes and space is limited.
Senior leaders in the Rady Faculty of Medicine, the Winnipeg Health Region and Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living will mentor participants in the development of a capstone project in an area of leadership relevant to the participant’s workplace or sphere of influence.
