What this role does
This is a technical role with real research impact. The Analyst will build a Computerized System Validation (CSV) framework for REDCap from the ground up. The role will develop the validation plan, write standard operation procedures, work directly with IT to configure the system to compliance standards, and own the documentation of every installation and upgrade.
Beyond validation, the Analyst will design and maintain REDCap database projects for clinical research, monitor regulatory guidance from Health Canada and ICH-GCP, respond to audits and inspection, and support quality assurance for statistical programming. There’s also a pan-Canadian dimension: the Analyst will collaborate with other institutions on centralized validation efforts and help develop a version of the framework suitable for adoption across Canada.
Who we’re looking for
You have a post-secondary degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, IT operation, cybersecurity, or a related field. At least a year of direct, full-time experience in CSV is a strong asset, as is hands-on experience with REDCap or other electronic data capture systems. You’re comfortable translating technical information for non-technical audiences, and you understand why regulatory compliance in clinical research isn’t a formality; it’s the point.
