Using R for Basic Stats

August 20, 21, 22, 2019 - This hands-on workshop will get you ready to do basic statistical analyses in R. Previous introductory experience with R (e.g, our “R for Absolute Beginners”) and with basic statistical ideas (e.g., courses in research methods or introductory statistics) will be assumed. We will discuss: odds ratios, correlations, t-tests, chi-squared tests, and linear and logistic regression. More advanced methods may be introduced, including: multiple regression and analysis of variance.

August 29, 2019 - Bioinformatics-Biostatistics Journal Club and Research Seminar Series is hosted by the Data Science Platform at the George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation. It aims to stimulate discussion of computational and statistical method developments and applications for complex health data in translational and personalized medicine.
