Description

SPECIAL TWO-HOUR FORUM

Manitoba’s Transformative Integrated Health Data Platform
Bridging clinical care and research to create a learning health system

December 5, 2019
12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Frederic Gaspard Theatre (Theatre A), Basic Medical Sciences Building,
University of Manitoba, 745 Bannatyne Ave.

Manitoba has one of the richest and most diverse collections of health data in North America. Yet, most of this data is housed in isolated databases. This is a fundamental barrier to patients, researchers, clinicians, and health system decision-makers who need complete data to make better-informed decisions when caring for patients and managing Manitoba’s health system.

With support from the Governments of Manitoba and Canada, MindSet is integrating Manitoba’s extensive clinical health data into a cohesive and readily-accessible province-wide health data platform.

What does this mean for Manitoba?
When complete, MindSet will be Canada’s first clinical health data platform. This transformative platform will bridge the gap between clinical care and research to create a learning health system, support health care delivery, improve patient outcomes, and facilitate cost-effective systems change.

Hosted by the George and Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI), this Grand Round will:

  • LEARNING OBJECTIVE
