Presenter:

Kathryn Sibley (Kate, as she is known) is an Assistant Professor at the University of Manitoba. She was recruited to Winnipeg in 2014 after completing her graduate training in rehabilitation and medical sciences at the University of Toronto and postdoctoral work in Knowledge Translation at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute. In 2016 Dr. Sibley was awarded a Tier II Canada Research Chair focused on integrated knowledge translation in rehabilitation sciences. She is committed to advancing KT science to optimize high quality KT practice. She builds capacity for KT through her role as Director of the Knowledge Translation platform at the George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation, Manitoba's CIHR SPOR SUPPORT unit. Dr. Sibley has attracted outstanding trainees to Manitoba, and her innovative approach that involves health professionals, people living with a health condition, and health system decision-makers as partners in the conduct of her research is already influencing her peers and stimulating a paradigm shift in health research.
