Innovative Methods For Multi-Site Academic Clinical Trials

 Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the logistics and challenges for regulatory-quality academic trials
  2. Describe facilitators to multi-site start-up success
  3. Case study: four pediatric emergency room trials at six Canadian hospitals

 Presenter:

George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation, Clinical Trialist - Dr. Lauren Kelly

Dr. Kelly has a PhD in Pharmacology, completed two post-doctoral fellowships at the Hospital for Sick Children and Mount Sinai Hospital and is a Certified Clinical Research Professional. Lauren is an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics & Child Health at the University of Manitoba and has been working in pediatric clinical research since 2008. Dr. Kelly has published more than 20 peer reviewed articles and is a reviewer with Cochrane Neonatal Review Group. Her research focus on clinical trial methodology, pediatric and neonatal opioid response, systematic reviews and education.
