Patient & Public Engagement in Health Research Lunchtime Learning Series

The Public and Patient Engagement in Health Research Lunchtime Learning Series will introduce participants to the principles of public and patient engagement in health research. Participants will learn how to build meaningful partnerships between researchers and people with lived experience that inform decision-making about the health research to improve clinical and practice outcomes.

Please join us in-person or by webinar. Registration is encouraged but in-person walk-ins and last minute webinar registrations are also welcome.

About the Presenter

Trish Roche is a Knowledge Broker with the Patient Engagement team at the George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation.

Learning Objectives

After the presentation, attendees will be able to:

  • Describe challenges in planning a meaningful and inclusive patient engagement strategy;
  • Describe key considerations in budgeting for patient engagement; and
  • Develop a budget for patient engagement.

Accreditation

The CHI Patient and Public Engagement Lunchtime Learning Series is a self-approved group learning activity (Section 1) as defined by the Maintenance of Certification program of The Royal College of  Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
