LEADS in a Caring Environment
The LEADS in a Caring Environment framework is a foundational element for health leadership development in Canada and is being used to define the standards of effective health systems leadership in many jurisdictions. This framework has been endorsed by the Canadian College of Health Leaders and the Canadian Health Leadership Network, which is made up of more than 39 national and provincial health organizations, including the Canadian Medical Association.
In November 2015, the Centre for Healthcare Innovation (CHI) and the LEADS Collaborative hosted an interactive conference for health system decision makers that focused on the essential elements of a talent management strategy for the Manitoba health system. Attendees had the opportunity to collaborate with one another to brainstorm ideas and develop action plans to further incorporate LEADS into the province's immediate and long term talent management strategy.
Some key insights from this conference can be found here.
