Dr. Nancy Salbach is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.  She received her PhD in Epidemiology after completing a Masters in Rehabilitation Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Physical Therapy and Physiology at McGill University.  Dr. Salbach holds a CIHR New Investigator Award in Knowledge Translation.

Dr. Salbach’s overall research goal is to improve the health of people with balance and mobility limitations from chronic conditions such as stroke. To achieve this goal, Dr. Salbach conducts research to improve understanding of factors influencing practice change, and to develop and evaluate theory-informed approaches that promote uptake of assessment procedures and exercise interventions in healthcare and community settings.
