The NINDS Clinical Trials Methodology Course is holding open-access webinars this fall.

November 20, 2014 at noon EST:

  • Karen Johnston, MD, MSc. (co-presenter TBA) will present on preparing a grant application. Dr. Johnston is the Harrison Distinguished Professor and Chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of Virginia. Dr. Johnston’s research has focused on treatment and outcomes in acute ischemic stroke and currently she is the principle investigator for the Phase III Stroke Hyperglycemia Insulin Network Effort (SHINE) trial.

December 18, 2014 at noon EST:

  • John Marler, MD will present on IDEs/INDs for the Sponsor Investigator. Dr. Marler has helped shape the direction for national funding for clinical neuroscience research as Associate Director for Clinical Trials, National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, National Institutes of Health. He is currently a medical officer in the Division of Neurology Products at the US Food and Drug Administration.

The webinars will be available through the Adobe Connect virtual conference room and will be recorded. They will need to be viewed on a computer with audio or other device. Android and iOS apps are available.
