This program mentors future health leaders. The focus is on developing skills to assist individuals to prepare for leadership roles while understanding the dynamics of the healthcare system and academic environment. Program participants are critical, creative and lateral thinking individuals who are able to lead academic health sciences units, while fostering organizational growth, learning and innovation. The program is targeted towards mid-career health care professionals in the Health Sciences faculties interested in progressing to senior level leadership.

Format: This program will be delivered using a small group discussion format featuring selected experts and University and Health Authority senior leaders. An on-line community will supplement these sessions, supporting participants throughout the program and a capstone project will be required in the area of leadership relevant to the participant’s workplace or sphere of influence. There is no cost for the program.

Dates: The program runs from October, 2014 to February, 2015; sessions take place on Wednesday evenings from 5:00pm - 8:00pm.
