April 2017 KT Canada Evidence to practice: Designing gender-sensitive health promotion approaches for men

April 13, 2017 - 11am - Room 315 Chown | This webinar seeks to: 1) outline the approach used to develop and evaluate a novel intervention based on qualitative evidence using as an example the Dads in Gear program, 2) teach about approaches for engaging men in aiding the translation of evidence into messages and strategies that can be used to support their efforts for lifestyle change and 3) showcase the value of integrating gender-related influences in designing health promotion programs.

April 2017 - CRINGe: Quickie Intro to Quick Strike Projects: Ground Work for Future Primary Healthcare Research

April 20 - 12 pm - 474 Chown Building - This presentation will provide a quick overview of two quick strike projects that have developed within the Primary and Integrated Healthcare Innovation Networks. Both address important issues: 1) characterizing high system use and; 2) the use of the “Get Your Benefits” tool within primary care settings. Each project uniquely brings together cross-sectoral team members bridging multiple Canadian provinces. Following the overview, we will begin to explore next steps for building upon this work.

Statistical Challenges and Opportunities for the Analysis of Microbiome Data
