Massive Transfusion: Improving processes of care and clinical outcomes through systems change

January 31 - Mortality associated with severe bleeding and the receipt of a massive blood transfusion is high. In response to clinical need, the George & Fay Yee Centre for Healthcare Innovation partnered with the Health Sciences Centre to implement a comprehensive Massive Transfusion Protocol (MTP) and re-design how severely bleeding patients were cared.
